Infinx, a US-based AI-driven company specializing in revenue cycle solutions for the US healthcare market, has announced the opening of a Research and Development (RA&D) center in Bengaluru. This state-of-the-art facility underscores Infinx's commitment to innovation and advancement in healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM).

Covering 12,000 sq. ft., the new R&D center will enhance Infinx’s capabilities, focusing on AI-driven product development, engineering, innovation, data science, and machine learning. The center will also manage cloud operations and computing, bolstering the company’s technological solutions for its clientele. With a global workforce exceeding 6,000, Infinx is actively recruiting new talent to solidify its position as a leading AI-driven healthcare management enabler.

Infinx’s team of engineers will lead the development of advanced AI solutions to enhance predictive analytics, optimize claim processing, and improve decision-making capabilities. They are also working on a cloud-based RCM platform to ensure scalability, security, and efficiency, facilitating seamless integration with various healthcare systems.

The company focuses on creating platforms that provide real-time insights, smooth workflows, and robust data management. Utilising the latest innovations in microservices architecture and agile development, Infinx’s solutions are designed to be both flexible and resilient, meeting the dynamic needs of the healthcare industry. 

The firm’s solutions currently support 172,000 healthcare professionals across 4,000 facilities, including ambulatory, acute care, and post-acute care providers, and count over 400 leading healthcare provider organisations among its customers, including hospitals, health systems, and outpatient healthcare providers.

In April, the Netherlands-headquartered healthcare firm Philips announced the opening of a new research and development (R&D) center in Pune. This center will host R&D teams from departments such as Image Guided Therapy, Precision Diagnosis, Monitoring, and Sleep & Respiratory businesses. The facility, occupying approximately 300,000 sq. ft in its first phase, will accommodate 1,900 employees.

In July of the previous year, American semiconductor company Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) revealed plans to invest $400 million in India over the next five years. This investment includes the establishment of a new AMD campus in Bengaluru, which will become the company's largest research and development (R&D) facility globally, according to Mark Papermaster, EVP and CTO of AMD.

In December 2023, electronics chip maker Intel established its next-generation processor research and development lab at its Bengaluru data center facility.
