We know about the hostels more than the hostel owners themselves in most cases,” claims Sourav Sinha, founder Homversity while presenting his novel idea to the investors in this week’s Kal Ke Krorepati – Chhote Sheher Bade Sapne. The sixth episode of the same has been launched on Zee Business every Sunday at 8:30 p.m. and on Tata Play (all day) 515, Har Ghar Startup.

But what followed post his statement was some serious grilling to and fro where Sourav handled the all the questions with elan and data. “Homversity was conceptualised in a hostel room because I gauged an opportunity and knew that parents and kids themselves want the best for themselves with every data point available to them of the places to stay. We wanted to take the university hostels to the global platform. This began with few rooms and today we have thousands of rooms with all facilities listed on the portal,” adds Sourav.

Kal Ke Krorepati (KKK) – Chhote Sheher Bade Sapne, a groundbreaking initiative that is committed to highlighting the India's burgeoning startup ecosystem and offering a critical platform for startups. Sourav was has been launched on Zee Business and Tata Play's Channel No 515 (Har Ghar Startup).

The other startup that pitched in this episode is Footrax where the founders Kushal Pratap Singh Rathore and Chintan Lodha were present. “We both are serious sports players and we realised there is a loophole for feedback system to players. Everyone is clueless and that is the gap we are trying to fill here. We want to offer a report card for sports. It is an unorganised sector and Sports Data Technology with a tracking tool should offer an algorithmic Magic on the screen,” says Rathore.

“There is enormous potential in this sector together with the competition from other wearables,” says Neha Sharma, founder Accelerate India. “This is investable provided there are certain changes we can make in the software. We need to add much more to this offering to make it very valuable to the investors across,” adds Saswat Sundar, Founder Fundamental VC.

“I am generally appalled at the ask these founders make at such platforms. I strongly feel they need to advised well by professionals. Most of the time they ridicule themselves by asking absurd demands against equally small equity,” observes Founder FAVCY Pranav Chaturvedi.
