Mahindra’s renewable energy unit appoints new CTO

Renewable Energy Asset Management firm Mahindra Teqo has appointed Vineet Shukla as the chief technology officer. Shukla was earlier the Head of Data at Teqo’s parent Mahindra Group.

In this new role, Shukla will oversee the technology strategy for the company, building state-of-art artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI-ML) products and solutions at scale. As per his LinkedIn profile, he will manage IT operation for Mahindra Teqo and the renewable businesses. In his previous role as Head of Data, he was responsible for strategizing and delivering big data or data science enabled analytics to businesses across the different group companies.

Shukla has over two decades of experience, a majority of which he has spent in the data, AI and ML domain. Before Mahindra Group, Shukla worked in companies such as UnitedHealth Group, Motorola, and Infosys. He is an alum of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology and IIM-Bangalore. 

Mahindra Teqo is a new age tech-enabled Renewable Energy Asset Management offering from the flagship Mahindra Group. It was launched in 2019 to offer optimisation solutions for renewable energy customers in India and the world. Teqo was part of Mahindra Susten. In next few years, it emerged as a leading platform for solar operation and maintenance operation. In 2019, it was finally spun off as an independent entity under the Mahindra Group.
