HDFC ERGO expands partnership with Duck Creek for insurtech solutions
HDFC ERGO has extended its partnership with insurance software and services provider Duck Creek Technologies to revamp its core operational business processes. Under this partnership, the insurance firm will deploy and leverage Duck Creek’s tech platform for seamless and intuitive experiences to customers and provide better hyper-personalised insurance solutions.
Further, this new-age technology is expected to make insurance more affordable and accessible to a larger segment of customers with the roll-out of customised products and tie-up with new-age insurtechs. It will also help the insurer to build an ecosystem enabling integration with leading third-party insurtechs through API, allowing it to offer hyper-personalised products and services to the customers, and provide seamless claims experience.
“Hence with an aim to deliver more value to our customers in an ever-evolving world, we began this journey with Duck Creek a year and a half back, and today we are happy to announce our next step of implementation of this platform. The robust power of this new platform enables us faster go-to-market capabilities, customised offerings, improved efficiencies, and enhanced data security,” said Parthanil Ghosh, Director and Chief Business Officer, HDFC ERGO General Insurance.
Notably, Duck Creek Technologies first tapped into the Indian general insurance market with HDFC ERGO as its first customer in 2023. The company will now be offering insurers a software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering, delivered both as a full suite of capabilities and stand-alone solutions. These solutions were designed to reduce time to market and improve customer experience. Duck Creek’s suite of SaaS-based solutions includes policy, claim, billing, rating, and reinsurance to help Indian general insurers to innovate and modernise their products and services.
