NTT DATA appoints Abhijit Dubey as CEO ex-Japan
Technology services company NTT Data has appointed Abhijit Dubey as the chief executive officer of its business outside Japan. Dubey succeeding Kazuhiro Nishihata, while Yo Honma will continue to be the president and CEO, representative director of NTT DATA Group Corporation.
Dubey’s appointment news follows the finalisation of the mergser between NTT DATA and NTT Ltd., forming an over $30 billion business operating under the NTT DATA name. He previously served as CEO of NTT Ltd.

In the new role, he will be leading 150,000 employees worldwide. NTT DATA has already expanded its international footprint to approximately $18 billion and has the world’s sixth-largest market share in the IT services industry, the company said in a statement. To be sure, NTT Data offers business and technology consulting, data and artificial intelligence, industry solutions, cloud, cybersecurity, and managed services for applications, infrastructure, and connectivity.
An industry veteran, Dubey joined NTT in 2021 from global advisory firm McKinsey & Company where he spent more than 20 years advising many of the world’s most prestigious technology companies and leading CEOs. He was responsible for launching and spearheading McKinsey’s global cloud computing efforts.
Dubey is an Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay alumni. He holds a B.S. Mechanical degree and did his Masters from Stanford University.
