TCS launches aggregated GenAI platform for enterprises
The largest Indian IT services company by market cap, TCS launched an aggregated generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) platform called WisdomNext. The platform is a single interface to multiple GenAI services aimed at helping enterprises to adopt next-gen solutions at scale and lower cost. This platform is being launched under the AI.Cloud business unit that was introduced last year for a focused approach to these emerging technologies.
The company said that the platform is designed to remove barriers for customers in developing and launching business solutions allowing for real-time experimentation across vendor, internal, and open-source LLM models. TCS spokesperson said during media briefing that over a 100 customers across domains such as BFSI, retail, consumer goods, and travel, among others are already leveraging it.
In the initial testing phase, TCS has used WisdomNext platform to build solutions for some of its largest customers, which include working with a US-based outdoor advertising company, insurance provider, and a UK-based bank.
“Customers appreciate the newly launched platform’s ability to help navigate a diverse and quickly evolving AI marketplace and rapidly compose 'art-of-the-possible' solutions. We are solving business problems and helping our customers redefine what it means to harness the power of GenAI. The rapid adoption of GenAI and experiencing what it means in terms of business outcomes is something our customers find very exciting,” said Siva Ganesan, Head, AI.Cloud Unit, TCS.
Other players have also launched their integrated solutions in AI. It includes Infosys, which bundles AI-first set of services, solutions and platforms using generative AI technologies under Infosys Topaz that was launched in 2023. Additionally, IBM also offers enterprise ready AI and data through its watsonx platform, introduced last year.
