HCLTech to leverage Gen AI for MRO solution
IT services company HCLTech has introduced generative AI capabilities to its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solution called iMRO/4. It is expected to improve the efficiency and performance of high-value assets in transportation, aerospace and defense, technology, and energy sector.
The iMRO/4 solutions provide enterprises with a set of highly advanced and integrated MRO capabilities. It helps enterprises improve their processes across the maintenance lifecycle, including engineering, operations, scheduling, supply chain, customer engagement, and support.
In the first phase, HCLTech will launch a generative AI bot to iMRO/4 to streamline and simplify service instructions for users and shorten complex asset maintenance processes in SAP S/4HANA. Next, the GenAI-infused iMRO/4 will enable a natural language inspection and repair findings report based on operative data within SAP S/4HANA.
“With GenAI enhancements embedded within existing processes, HCLTech iMRO/4 will go even further to help our clients in asset intensive industries achieve greater efficiency, enhance asset utilisation and reduce cost,” said Sadagopan Singam, Executive Vice President, Digital Business, HCLTech.
For the fourth quarter, HCLTech posted a revenue of ₹28,499 crore, up 0.2% QoQ and up 7.1% YoY. For the entire fiscal, the company’s revenue stood at ₹109,913 crore, up 8.3%. Further, HCLSoftware, the software business unit of HCLTech announced that it has been selected by State Bank of India (SBI) for their MarTech solution as part of SBI’s digital transformation program.
