F5 gets new MD for India and SAARC region
Cloud security firm F5 has announced the appointment of Pratik Shah as the managing director for its operations in India and the SAARC region. Shah will be responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy in these regions – bringing end-to-end solutions and competitive security offerings.
Shah, who has been with the company since 2019, is being elevated from the post of Sales Director where he led the sales growth and managed the India enterprise business. He will succeed Dhananjay Ganjoo, who retired on May 3.
“Dhananjay's leadership and dedication have been instrumental in F5’s growth in the India and SAARC market. We are immensely grateful for his contributions and wish him all the best as he begins this new chapter. We are also thrilled to announce Pratik Shah's promotion as Dhananjay’s successor. Pratik’s track record and deep understanding of the business give us full confidence in his ability to drive continued success for F5 in the region,” said Adam Judd, Senior Vice President of Sales, Asia Pacific, China and Japan.
Prior to F5, Shah was the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) lead at Palo Alto Networks. He has also worked with companies such as Juniper Networks, Extreme Networks, and Tyco Electronics, among others.
In April, F5, which follows the October to September financial cycle, announced its second-quarter earnings for fiscal year 2024. The overall revenue was reported to be $681 million, marking a 3% year-over-year (YoY) decline. This is, however, in line with F5 projection made in the last quarter for revenue in the range of $675 million to $695 million Additionally, the software revenue grew by 20%. The global services revenue increased 5% to $381 million, while product revenue fell 12% to $300 million.
