HCLTech, Cisco introduce Pervasive Wireless Mobility Service for enterprises
Global technology company HCLTech and Cisco, a digital communications technology firm, have teamed up to introduce Pervasive Wireless Mobility as-a-Service, aiming to provide secure and smooth connectivity across enterprises.
This service merges HCLTech’s managed network services with Cisco’s Ultra-Reliable Wireless Backhaul (URWB) technology to establish a resilient network infrastructure. The result is a robust connectivity solution offering visibility and mobility for various operational needs in industrial and mission-critical environments.
“Leveraging HCLTech’s expertise in communication technologies and cross-industry best-practices to implement and integrate Cisco’s URWB technology in varied environments will increase our clients’ capacity to operate next-gen applications and successfully integrate a variety of wireless technologies to transform their business,” said Gurpreet Singh Kohli, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Enterprise Network Practice, HCLTech.
HCLTech offers our customers a way to accelerate their network transformation journey with an end-to-end managed secure network service that reduces complexity, increases efficiency, and improves end user experience, through a flexible consumption model," said Nick Holden, Vice President, of Global and Strategic Partners & Ecosystem Co-Sell at Cisco.
In November last year, both companies also launched Meeting-Rooms-as-a-Service (MRaaS), collaborating with Cisco. This subscription-based solution modernises legacy meeting rooms, allowing users to join meetings from any provider using Webex devices. MRaaS simplifies the design, implementation, and maintenance of integrated meeting rooms, enabling seamless collaboration for globally distributed hybrid workforces.
