Yotta Data Services, known for its Digital Transformation services, has partnered with BLC Holding Pvt Ltd (BLC), a diversified entity with interests in manufacturing and services. to construct Nepal’s inaugural Supercloud Data Center, a significant step toward boosting digital infrastructure in the region.  

The collaboration will see the establishment of a cutting-edge data center facility in Ramkot, near Kathmandu, Nepal. This initiative marks Yotta's foray into Nepal and underscores its commitment to serving the burgeoning digital markets in the Indian subcontinent. The partnership leverages BLC's local expertise and Yotta's global proficiency to deliver world-class digital services. 

The facility, dubbed K1, will adhere to Tier III standards and offer up to 4 MW of critical IT load upon completion in the next 24 months. It will be Nepal's first supercloud data center, designed to ensure industry-leading uptime, reliability, scalability, and flexibility.

Adhering to international standards such as ISO 14000 & ISO 50000 for environmental and energy efficiency, and ISO 27000, PCI-DSS, & SOC2/3 for information security, the facility will prioritize sustainability and data privacy, the company said. 

Key features of K1 include advanced data security, customized business solutions, hyperscale cloud offerings, state-of-the-art infrastructure, cybersecurity expertise, and 24/7 customer support.

The announcement of K1 follows Yotta's recent introduction of cloud offerings – Shakti Cloud and Yntraa. Shakti Cloud, powered by NVIDIA's GPUs, offers advanced AI-HPC supercomputing infrastructure, while Yntraa provides a homegrown hyperscale cloud platform. K1 will be Yotta's second planned data center outside India, following the project in the Dhaka Hyperscale Data Center Park, Bangladesh.
