The week (March 9 — March 15) saw many CXO movements in the tech industry.  From Ex-McAfee Senior Vice President’s new role as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of observability platform New Relic to Allcargo Gati Limited’s new Deputy Chief Information Officer (Deputy CIO), there were new appointments in key roles. New Relic gets new Chief Financial Officer

Web analytics and observability platform New Relic has appointed Ashish Agarwal as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In his new role, Agarwal will assume responsibility for overseeing global finance operations and shaping the company's strategic direction. Agarwal’s most recent tenure was with American computer security software company McAfee as interim CFO and Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development where he spearheaded critical initiatives, including the company's notable $936 million IPO and subsequent $14 billion private sale.

Yellow.ai appoints Puneet Arora as Global President

Customer service automation company Yellow.ai has appointed Puneet Arora as the Global President. Arora will lead the Go-to-Market (GTM) teams across all markets, including North America, India, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa. His job will also involve establishing a strong North American market and boost global expansion efforts. He has over 25 years of expertise in establishing and expanding high-growth Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) organisations. Previously, he has held pivotal roles at leading organisations including D2L, 8x8, Oracle, Liveperson, and Salesforce. He has proficiently scaled companies to multi-million ARR levels and navigated successful IPO journeys. 

Allcargo Gati Limited appoints new Deputy CIO

Supply chain solutions provider Allcargo Gati Limited has named Sanjay Khiyani as its Deputy Chief Information Officer (Deputy CIO) in a strategic move aimed at optimising the company's technology infrastructure and administration. Khiyani will play a crucial part in budgeting, resource development, and allocation, as well as policy formation. His responsibilities extend to overseeing software development, delivery, and deployment, utilising digital solutions to streamline operations and improve the overall customer experience. He will directly report to GS Ravi Kumar, Chief Information Officer, Allcargo Gati Limited. Khiyani brings over 25 years of experience from diverse sectors, including information technology and the steel industry. His extensive career includes a two-decade stint at IBM, where he played a pivotal role in driving strategic projects and program life cycle management, with a focus on account management, delivery management, and people management. 

SNITCH appoints new Chief Technology Officer

SNITCH direct-to-consumer (D2C) men’s fast fashion brand has appointed Maruthy Ramgandhi as its new Chief technology officer (CTO). Maruthy brings with him 18 years of remarkable experience working with some of the most reputed companies like STUMBL, Amazon, Mckinsey & Co, Bewakoof.com, AJIO, and Commonfloor.com. Ramgandhi holds a strong expertise in analytics and his knowledge of various statistical-based models will be a great addition to SNITCH’s growth. Ramgandhi holds a B.tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Post that he has completed Master of Science from Alliance Manchester Business School.

CMS Info Systems appoints Puneet Bhirani as President of Operations

CMS Info Systems, an Indian cash management company, has appointed Puneet Bhirani as its new President of Operations. In this role, Bhirani will oversee service delivery and operations across business lines. With over 26 years of leadership experience in India, the UK, and the US, he brings a wealth of cross-cultural expertise. Bhirani holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Punjab Engineering College, a Master in Marketing from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, and an Advanced Management Program from Wharton Business School. He has spent over 18 years at Mphasis, holding various roles in sales, operations, and global shared services. He also served as the CEO of Mphasis subsidiary, Digital Risk, USA. Following his tenure at Mphasis, Bhirani worked as the CEO of OLA Fleet and later as the COO of OLA Cabs, where he played a key role in establishing the Ola Electric Gigafactory. 

Axis My India appoints Prateek Dubey as COO

Consumer intelligence company Axis My India has appointed Prateek Dubey as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Dubey, who joins from Google India under a full-time secondment, will lead the company's strategic initiative, the People Empowerment Platform (PEP), and its nationwide rollout campaign. Dubey will also contribute to talent acquisition for Axis My India, including hiring C-suite positions, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for improved business performance, and identifying potential partnership opportunities for business development.
