Technology purchases have been a part of law firms’ necessities for as long as there have been telephones and fax machines. It’s only recently, however, that firms have begun to think of how their digital initiatives correspond to the overall firm strategy — a reason law firms are recruiting technology experts to guide them through their technology roadmap.
A new report from the Thomson Reuters Institute published in October last year finds that 83% law firms’ believe that digital transformation is extremely important to their overall business strategy and more than half are beginning to coalesce their digital transformation projects into an overarching strategy that has buy-in from the C-suite level.
