Aether Industries appoints new CTO
Speciality chemical manufacturer Aether Industries has appointed James W Ringer as its new chief technology officer, with effect from March 1. Ringer, before his new appointment, was serving as the business development and technology leader at Aether’s Americas region. In his new role, he will be overseeing research and development efforts and technological advancements within the company.
“Having worked closely with him for nearly 15 years, starting from my time under his mentorship at the Dow Chemical Company's Core R&D headquarters in the USA, I've witnessed first-hand his exceptional leadership and innovative thinking,” said Aman Desai (Senior VP and Director, Research, Manufacturing, and Operations) of Aether Industries.
"As Aether moves into what promises to be the most exciting phase of our company’s short history, I am fully confident that Jim is the right leader for the CTO position," he further added.
To be sure, before Aether, Ringer worked at US-based Dow Chemical Company for three decades. There he held multiple positions including AgroSciences new products development leader; process sciences leader; senior technical leader for process sciences; and director of process chemistry and development. At the time of exit from the company, he was the director of engineering and process science for the Dow Core R&D organisation. He is an alum of Purdue University and University of Wisconsin.
“We are one of the fastest growing companies in India with a tremendous pipeline of new products. At this time we are developing our fifth manufacturing site, which will be larger than all of the other sites combined,” said Ringer.
We have just recently doubled our research labs and are aggressively expanding with a plan to again double both the research laboratories and number of scientists by mid- 2025, he stressed.
Incorporated in 2013, India-headquartered Aether Industries is focused on producing advanced intermediates and specialty chemicals involving complex and differentiated chemistry and technology core competencies. Aether began commercial operations in the last quarter of FY-17.
