Gupshup to integrate Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform capabilities in RCS conversations

Conversation tech platform Gupshup announced that brands on its platform can now offer artificial intelligence (AI)-based RCS conversations through integration with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI suite. To be sure, RCS or rich communication services is a messaging protocol that offers upgraded experience compared to SMS and MMS. 

With this partnership, Gupshup’s product suite which has tools like Auto Bot and ACE LLM, will now use Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform to tap on to the capabilities of Google’s large language models (LLMs) to serve former’s global customers. This integration is expected to deliver more precise and human-like interactions. AI assistants on RCS will be able to ‘intelligently’ respond to unstructured queries, assisting customers across various stages–from product discovery, lead generation to troubleshooting and customer support, the company said in a statement.

Gupshup, in August 2023, introduced ACE LLM, a set of LLMs tailored for different purposes like marketing, commerce, support, HR & IT, and various industries including Banking, Retail, and Utilities.
