CrowdStrike expands India footprint, launches new facility in Pune
US-based cybersecurity technology company CrowdStrike announced the inauguration of its new office in Pune on Thursday. The new facility, spanning 52,000 square feet, marks an expansion from the company's previous capacity in Pune.
The company began with the inauguration of CrowdStrike Innovation and Development Center in Pune in 2018, which now serves as the company's regional hub for talent, innovation, and customer engagement With the unveiling of the new facility, the company aims to double down on its commitment to safeguarding organisations in India and the surrounding areas.
CrowdStrike's global product, engineering, and business services teams will benefit from the expanded facility, supporting the ongoing growth of these critical functions. Michael Sentonas, the President at CrowdStrike, emphasised India's pivotal role in the company's global operations, stating, "Our footprint here gives us access to incredible talent and provides a central location to engage with customers from across the region."
The company's development team in India has played a crucial role in delivering innovative solutions and robust platform capabilities, contributing significantly to the fight against breaches. Sentonas affirmed CrowdStrike's commitment to investing in key regions like India to make their Falcon platform, considered the gold standard of protection, accessible to customers worldwide.
The expansion in Pune aligns with CrowdStrike's broader strategy of investing in global operations and advancing its mission to prevent breaches on a global scale. The company has recently established an Asian hub in Singapore and continues to secure certifications from global governments and industry associations, further expanding access to its AI-native CrowdStrike Falcon XDR platform.
