Schneider Electric appoints Preeti Gupta Mohanty as CFO for Greater India Zone

US-based Schneider Electric has named Preeti Gupta Mohanty as the new chief financial officer (CFO) for the Greater India Zone (which includes India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka). An industry veteran, Mohanty comes with over two decades of finance experience in FMCG, consulting, and industrial sectors

In her last held role, Mohanty served as the region vice president at Ingersoll Rand where she managed the finance function for the EMEIA region, overseeing a business size of $1.8 billion, over 30 manufacturing sites, and a Finance shared service centre in Bengaluru.

“I am thrilled to join a company leading in innovation and sustainability. India is one of Schneider Electric's global hubs, and I am committed to developing a robust financial strategy for our business's growth in the country,” said Mohanty. 

Prior to her position at Ingersoll Rand, Mohanty held senior positions at Glaxosmithkline Consumer, which included the roles of Internal Audit Head for GSK India Listed entity; she also led the integration of Novartis consumer business into GSK. She has also worked at Coca-Cola India and Deloitte. Preeti's achievements include recognition among the Top 100 CFOs of India in 2023 and receiving the Best Woman CFO award from Dalal Street Journal in 2022, along with other accolades in 2020.

To be sure, Schneider Electric promoted Deepak Sharma as managing director and chief executive officer of its India subsidiary Schneider Electric India Private Limited (SEIPL) in May 2023.  Sharma is also  the zonal president of Greater India. In his previous role, Sharma led the integration of L&T Electrical and Automation Business with Schneider Electric, as SVP, Mergers & Acquisition.
