TCS to transform Europ Assistance’s IT ops with AI, ML
Indian IT services provider major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been chosen as a key partner by Europ Assistance, a global travel insurance company, to revamp its IT setup for better resilience, scalability, and user experience.
Under the collaboration, TCS will expand its delivery centres in Europe and other regions to offer comprehensive enterprise IT application services to Europ Assistance.
Europ Assistance, serving around 300 million customers across 200 countries with various services like travel, health, and home assistance, sought a partner to align its IT setup with its mission of providing services 'Anytime, Anywhere' and support its growth, the company said.
This multi-year partnership will also involve TCS deploying its in-house solution, ignio AIOps, from its Digitate suite. This AI and ML-powered solution will provide actionable insights into Europ Assistance's technology infrastructure, enhancing productivity and availability.
Moreover, the partnership will focus on joint innovation, with TCS and Europ Assistance collaborating on new applications utilising generative AI and other advanced technologies.
“Technology is at the heart of a reliable, available, and scalable business. We are pleased to partner with Europ Assistance in their journey of transformation. The new, automation-powered operating model will enable Europ Assistance to achieve its global mission while serving its customers anytime, anywhere,” said Hemakiran Gupta, Head of Banking, Insurance and Financial Services, Europe, TCS.
Additionally, on January 12, TCS announced the boosting of its AI capabilities across its operations and launched an AI Experience Zone to enhance hands-on proficiency in AI and Generative AI.
Within this zone, TCS employees can explore and experiment with cutting-edge GenAI-powered applications, adhering to Responsible AI principles. They can experiment with open-source technologies and major language models from industry leaders like Amazon Web Services, Google, and Microsoft, covering various use cases such as content creation, information discovery, and task automation.
