L&T Tech teams up with Marelli for automotive infotainment
L&T Technology Services, a digital engineering and R&D services provider, has teamed up with Marelli, a mobility technology firm for the automotive industry, to reshape automotive infotainment and information cluster design.
This collaboration introduces Marelli's Digital Twin solutions, marking a significant advancement in automotive software development and prototype cost reduction.
Marelli, with support from LTTS, has streamlined automotive software development processes, paving the way for Software Defined Vehicles (SDV). Leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, Marelli's Digital Twin offers a virtual replica of the entire car's electric-electronic architecture, from information clusters to infotainment systems and beyond, the company said.
This partnership was also showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show 2024 in Las Vegas, where SDV solutions powered by AWS and the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm Technologies, demonstrated substantial reductions in software development time (up to 70%) and prototype costs (up to 30%), driving SDV advancement.
Abhishek Sinha, Chief Operating Officer and Board Member at L&T Technology Services said, "This partnership is not only catalyzing unparalleled efficiencies in automotive software development but also spearheading the future of automotive infotainment through our groundbreaking digital twin offerings. Together, we are pioneering a new era of innovation, setting the stage for the next generation of mobility solutions."
In a related development, in December last year, Wipro, an IT services provider, also announced a collaboration with Marelli Electronic Systems to introduce connected vehicle services swiftly. This partnership resulted in the creation of the cabin digital twin, empowering original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to expedite the launch of connected vehicle services in the market.
