Former TCS exec Rajashree R joins Tech Mahindra

Tech Mahindra announced on January 22 that it has appointed Rajashree R, former chief marketing officer of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), as its chief growth officer for America strategic verticals. Rajashree will be joining the ongoing leadership restructuring led by 
Tech Mahindra CEO Mohit Joshi.

In a LinkedIn post, Tech Mahindra stated, "We are delighted to announce Rajashree R as our new Chief Growth Officer for Strategic Verticals in the Americas at Tech Mahindra. With over three decades of rich experience, Rajashree will utilize her expertise to foster strategic alliances and provide domain and technological thought leadership."

Rajashree is a TCS veteran with almost 20 years of experience at the company, where she held various leadership positions. In 2023, she stepped down from the CMO role and continued working as a vice president at TCS as part of CEO K Krithivasan's organizational restructuring plan.

Rajashree also shared the update on LinkedIn, stating, "For the past several months, I have been pondering over the question of 'where next?' - another IT company, smaller or bigger, startup, software company, etc. Above all, I knew that what mattered most to me was a vibrant, dynamic, and agile environment; working with good people; opportunities for learning and growth; and, most importantly, the right culture and value system."

"My search led me to Tech Mahindra - an inspiring leadership, a great customer base, amazing talent, a rich heritage, all built on a foundation of a great culture. My focus will be on growing the Americas, which is a strategic market for Tech Mahindra," she added.

Tech Mahindra's CEO Mohit Joshi announced the restructuring of the company's businesses, effective from January 1, with a vertical-wise focus for delivery instead of the previous geography-focused structure.

The company has recently hired Peeyush Dubey, former CMO of LTI, as the CMO, Richard Lobo, former EVP of Infosys, as the chief people officer, and Atul Soneja, former COO of CitiusTech, as the chief operating officer.

Tech Mahindra is scheduled to announce its Q3 results for the period ending December 31 on January 24, 2024.
