Srinivas Satya, the Corporate Vice President and Country President at Applied Materials India, has recently joined Tata Electronics as the Chief Supply Chain Officer and President of the components business. Applied Materials has appointed Satheesh Kuppurao, the Vice President of Business Development and Growth, as the interim Country President.

Satya has been with Applied Materials since 1995 and has held various technical, business, and strategy customer-facing roles with increasing responsibility across different business units in the semiconductor and energy segments, as well as in Finance, Corporate, and Business Development.  In 2015, he became the President and MD of Applied Materials India, where he was responsible for the company's performance, strategy, and development.

In his new position at Tata Electronics, Satya will report to Randhir Thakur, who became the Chief Executive Officer of Tata Electronics in April of last year. It is worth noting that Satya's appointment at Tata Electronics comes just over a week after the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government.
