Mphasis appoints Ashish Devalekar as new head of Europe, Anurag Bhatia to lead Global BPS

Mphasis, an IT solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Ashish Devalekar as its new Head of Europe. Meanwhile, Anurag Bhatia, the current Head of Europe, will take the lead in Mphasis' Global Business Process Services business (BPS). 

Devalekar, comes with over two decades of experience driving consistent growth in Europe, and will be responsible for leading Mphasis' Europe business. With a proven track record of transforming businesses into high-growth units, Devalekar brings expertise in closing large deals, building high-performing teams, and implementing effective Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies. 

Before joining Mphasis, Devalekar served as the Managing Director and Head of Europe and the Middle East at Virtusa for four years and as the Head of Financial Services UK at Capgemini. 

Bhatia's shift to Head of Global BPS aligns with Mphasis’s recent initiatives, including the launch of a dedicated AI Business Unit. This move is aimed at unlocking the potential of AI, including Gen AI, and driving operational efficiency across client organisations, the company said. 

In his new role, Bhatia will focus on driving growth, playing in the expanded addressable market with the adoption of AI solutions, driving adoption of multiple AI-powered deal archetypes, and leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency in client operations.
