Global consulting and professional services firm Accenture, on Monday, unveiled its Generative AI Studio in Bengaluru, India. The studio is located within Accenture’s Innovation Hub and is part of Accenture’s $3 billion investment in data and AI.

According to the company, the studio will bring together the company’s extensive talent and technology investments to offer a full stack of generative AI capabilities. These capabilities will optimize business processes and enable enterprise reinvention.

In June, Accenture announced a $3 billion investment globally over three years in its Data & AI practice to help clients across all industries rapidly and responsibly advance and use AI to achieve greater growth, efficiency and resilience. The consultancy firm also said that it will double AI talent to 80,000 through hiring, acquisitions and training.

Last month, Accenture announced the opening of several Gen AI studios across Canada and the U.S., including locations such as Chicago, Houston, New York, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Toronto. Each studio includes in-house AI and data experts who will help Accenture’s customers navigate its Center for Advanced AI. Each location specializes in areas such as life sciences, finance, manufacturing, software, healthcare, retail, technology, and public service.

The Bangalore studio will leverage a modern data and AI foundation, the innovative LLM architecture, ecosystem partnerships, a pool of skilled talent, and frameworks promoting responsible AI practices. This comprehensive strategy aims to optimize existing business processes and enable enterprises to undergo transformative reinvention.

“Clients today understand the massive opportunity that generative AI can bring to optimize and reinvent their business, opening up new avenues for growth. However, to harness the full potential of their AI investments, they need to be value-led in every business capability they choose to reinvent with generative AI. Our Bengaluru studio will help our clients around the globe prioritize capabilities across the entire value chain and make the shift to scale their AI investments, rapidly and responsibly,” said Senthil Ramani, Global Lead – Data & AI, Accenture.

The Generative AI studio will draw upon strategic investments made in Accenture's Center for Advanced AI and tap into the organization's extensive intellectual property, including over 1,450 pending and issued patents in AI. The studio further extends its offerings with recently launched services, like the proprietary gen AI model "switchboard," customization techniques, model managed services, and specialized training programs, the company said.

In addition to Accenture, other tech giants like Microsoft and Google are also investing in AI studios. Microsoft has introduced Azure AI Studio, which brings its various Azure AI development tools into one environment. The focus is on building Copilots, generative AI-powered applications. The studio includes support for mixed-model multi-modal tools and the Azure AI SDK.

Google has introduced AI Studio, a web-based tool for developers that serves as an entry point into the broader Gemini ecosystem. With AI Studio, developers can create prompts and chatbots based on the Gemini Pro and Gemini Pro Vision models. They can also obtain API keys to integrate the chatbots into their applications or access the code to work on it in a more fully-featured integrated development environment (IDE).
