Persistent Systems expands leadership team, appoints new chief operating officer
Digital engineering firm Persistent Systems has announced the appointment of Dhanashree Bhat as the chief operating officer. In this role, Bhat will be leading IT, administration and facilities, learning and development, enterprise risk management, and delivery excellence.
Bhat started her career at Tech Mahindra, where she served for over two decades. Her last position was that of chief delivery officer (telecom, media, and technology group). “Dhanashree’s service delivery rigor combined with her deep operations experience will further strengthen Persistent’s service delivery,” a company statement said.
Apart from, Bhat’s appointment, there have been three other additions. Sumit Arora joined as senior vice president and would be responsible for setting up and driving the consulting practice. Moving from his role as the managing director ad partner at Boston Consulting Group, Ayon Banerjee joined Persistent Systems as the chief strategy and growth officer earlier this quarter. Lastly, Rajiv Sodhi was named senior vice president for hyperscaler business and strategic alliance last quarter.

Persistent Systems reported a 17.7% year-on-year (YoY) growth in Q2FY24 with consolidated revenue at ₹2,411.7 crore. In the same quarter last year, the IT player's revenue was at ₹2,048.6 crore. Sequentially, the company's revenue grew 3.9%.
