Infosys inks long-term deal with TK Elevator for digital transformation
India's second-largest IT services provider, Infosys Limited, has announced a long-term collaboration with TK Elevator (formerly ThyssenKrupp Elevator), one of the world's leading elevator manufacturers, according to an exchange filing.
As part of this collaboration, Infosys will consolidate, harmonise, and modernise TK Elevator's digital landscape. The goal is to continuously innovate and transform the company's application and IT environment, utilising an AI-first strategy powered by Infosys Topaz, a suite of services, solutions, and platforms that leverage generative AI technologies.
The deal between Infosys and TK Elevator was signed on June 9, 2022. As part of the agreement, Infosys will provide IT help desk services, digital workplace management, and network services to the elevator company. These solutions will be powered by Infosys Cobalt's automation framework.
Susan Poon, Global CIO at TK Elevator, said that as part of the extended collaboration, the two companies will work together to transition the operations of all TK Elevator's business applications in North America and major European markets to Infosys.
To deliver a user-centric, business outcome-driven solution, Infosys will utilise its Live Enterprise Application Management Platform (LEAP), a cloud-enabled platform that provides NextGen Application Management Services and is part of Infosys Cobalt. Additionally, Infosys will lead the transformation and operations of the Software-defined Wide Area Network (SD WAN), as well as manage the existing Service Desk, Data Center, Cloud, LAN, and Workplace.
Furthermore, Infosys will deliver an integrated applications and underlying infrastructure operating model, including Service Integration and Management (SIAM), an outsourcing model that manages multiple suppliers of services and integrates them to provide a single business-facing IT organisation.
In another partnership, Infosys on Tuesday teamed up with Proximus, Belgium's leading digital services and communications solutions provider, to undertake an IT modernisation and consolidation project. The project involves consolidating key components of the IT stack of a Proximus affiliate into the main IT stack. This will enable Proximus to offer fiber and new digital services to a larger customer base.
