Infosys collaborates with Belgium-based Proximus for IT modernisation project
Infosys has collaborated with Belgium-based digital services and communications provider Proximus to deliver an IT modernsation and consolidation project. As part of the collaboration, Infosys will consolidate key components of a Proximus affiliate's IT stack into the main IT stack. This will enable the company to offer fiber and new digital services to a larger customer base.
The collaboration builds on the two companies’ existing 25-year relationship for maintaining and developing Proximus’ IT applications. As part of the latest engagement, Infosys acted as a managing partner for the ‘highly complex project’ that had over 70 applications and multiple vendors. The affiliate’s technology stack was modernized to meet future demands, with accelerated time to market, and an increased portfolio of offerings, the company press release said.
“A complex transition, involving multiple vendors, applications in an evolving landscape meant that we needed new operating model and sourcing strategy that could anticipate and adapt to our requirements. Infosys as a managing partner for this venture with the out-tasking model enabled us to successfully complete the program on time and with great quality of delivery,” said Antonietta Mastroianni, chief digital and IT officer at Proximus.
Earlier this month, Infosys joined hands with Rich Products Corporation (Rich’s), a food products company, to streamline and improve Rich's business operations and customer experience through SAP S/4HANA solutions. Infosys is playing a pivotal role in constructing and implementing Rich’s global template for finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and procurement functions across its global markets. The partnership also aims to establish consistency while adhering to business and regulatory prerequisites, paving the way for new growth and innovation opportunities.
