Technicolor integrates Dell infrastructure solutions for IT transformation

Technicolor Creative Studios has integrated Dell infrastructure solutions for its information technology (IT) transformation in India. The collaboration will help Technicolor Creative Studios explore new opportunities and expand their scope of creative projects, Dell announced today.  

Dell’s infrastructure solutions — Dell PowerScale — is a scale-out file storage system. Earlier, Technicolor was facing challenges of taking on newer projects due to lack in IT expertise, now it will be able to achieve their future goals with this partnership, said Dell. 

Dell Technologies will also deploy Dell Migration and Implementation Services, Deployment and Configuration Services to help Technicolor with streamlined data management.

With this integration, Technicolor can increase throughput 110%, faster rendering 83% for smooth and lifelike visual effects, and cut rack space by 43% for less carbon emissions and costs. Dell will manage IT system to support artificial intelligence (AI) workloads and reduced cyber-security risks with disaster recovery capabilities.

Dell PowerScale will enable the teams at Technicolor to render VFX animations faster than earlier. Dell will also provide integrated cyber resiliency to ensure a complete threat detection and response system.
