TCS launches new cybersecurity and compliance platform

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched an artificial intelligence-based cybersecurity and compliance platform. Called the Cyber Insights, the platform builds on Amazon Security Lake along with TCS’ expertise in managed detection and response for customers to unify their security datasets across clouds and environments. To be sure, launched in November 2022, Amazon Security Lake is a purpose-built security data lake for customers to aggregate and store data. 

The Cyber Insights Platform leverages machine learning models to continuously monitor anomalies, and predict potential issues well in advance, helping clients to be proactive in addressing these potential threats.

One of the offerings of the platform is the Financial Crime Fusion Center which uses generative AI to help financial clients with insights into incidents like account takeovers, unauthorised fund transfers, and identity theft by fusing data from their fraud detection and cybersecurity systems.

To be sure, TCS launched AI.Cloud, a new business unit in July to focus on opportunities rising from AI. The new unit is expected to bring more concentrated approach to leveraging this technology. Notably, at the Q2FY24 earnings, TCS announced that it has completed AI training for 100,000 of its employees.
