Melissa Hathway to lead Commvault’s newly formed cyber resilience council
Cybersecurity firm Commvault is onboarding Melissa Hathaway as a strategic advisor and the chairperson for the company's newly formed Cyber Resilience Council. In the new role, Hathway will lead the council to advise on emerging security trends and threats, as well as highlight best practices. She brings a ‘unique combination of policy, technical expertise, and boardroom experience’, the company said in a statement.
As the president of the consulting firm Hathaway Global Strategies, she works with Fortune 500 companies, helping them on their cybersecurity, enterprise risk management, and technology assessment. Hathway has also served in two presidential administrations – she led the Cyberspace Policy Review for President Barack Obama and the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative for President George W. Bush. Other international institutes with which Hathway has been associated in the past, include – NATO, the International Telecommunications Union, the Organization of American States, and the World Bank, among others.

Earlier this month, Commvault announced the appointment of Richard Gadd as its new Senior Vice President for the EMEA and India (EMEAI) region. In this role, Gadd will oversee efforts to provide global organisations with robust cyber resilience solutions designed to safeguard against contemporary cyber threats and facilitate data recovery.
Gadd brings with him 25 years of sales experience in the technology sector. His most recent position was Vice President and General Manager for EMEA at Cohesity, where he gained substantial expertise in storage and data management. Prior to this, he held senior positions at Hitachi Vantara, EMC, and Computacenter.
