Elastic appoints new leaders in APAC and Japan for market expansion
Elastic, the company behind Elasticsearch and a platform for search-powered solutions, is expanding its presence in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region with several key leadership appointments.
These appointments aim to strengthen the regional leadership team and drive market expansion. The new leaders will leverage their extensive experience in the technology industry to support customers and brands in the Asia Pacific.
The strategic appointments cover various areas, including business strategy and sales management, channels and alliances, and solutions architecture.
Andrew Habgood has been appointed as the Vice President of Channels and Alliances for Asia Pacific and Japan. He will focus on developing a network of trusted partners to deliver innovative solutions in Japan and drive growth. Habgood comes to Elastic from Red Hat, where he held the position of Vice President, Partner Ecosystem, responsible for business development and partnership functions.
Chris Walker, with over 25 years of experience in top-tier software companies across EMEA and APJC, has joined Elastic as the Vice President of Solutions Architecture for Asia Pacific and Japan. He has a strong track record in leading technical teams to achieve significant growth. In his new role, Walker will lead Elastic's team of solution engineers, system architects, and technical specialists across APJ.
Gavin Jones is now the Area Vice President for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) at Elastic. He will be responsible for operations, business development, and strategy. Jones has previously served as Confluent's Vice President of ANZ and played a pivotal role in driving growth initiatives in the region.
Jaebum Im, the new Area Vice President for Elastic in Korea, brings experience from Cloudera, where he was General Manager, Korea. He was responsible for driving growth and brand awareness in the country. Prior to that, he led business development in Korea for AWS, focusing on enterprise and industry sectors.
Ravi Rajendran has joined Elastic as the Area Vice President for Southeast Asia. He previously served as the Vice President of Asia Pacific & Japan at Cohesity and brings over 30 years of experience in the technology industry. Rajendran has expertise in business alliances, storage solutions, managed services, cloud, and enterprise software.
