Amplus, Microsoft partner for renewable energy monitoring with Gen AI
Amplus, a company specializing in clean energy solutions and a member of the global clean energy solutions company Gentari, has entered into a collaboration with Microsoft through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration aims to enhance and promote Amplus's innovative Renewable Energy Remote Monitoring Solution.
This strategic partnership holds the potential to bring about a significant transformation in the monitoring of renewable energy (RE) plant performance. The initiative will be supported by generative AI technology on the proposed Future Energy Platform.
Last year, both companies also inked a long-term Renewable Energy Agreement for a substantial 100 MW solar power project located in Rajasthan, India.
The company developed its renewable energy remote monitoring solution in-house over five years ago. This technology is currently in use across Amplus's plants nationwide, facilitating seamless, real-time management and performance tracking from virtually any location.
Sharad Pungalia, MD & CEO of Amplus, said, “This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for both Amplus and the renewable energy industry. With our in-house renewable energy Remote Monitoring Solution, we have witnessed a remarkable improvement in plant performance and efficient maintenance. As part of this new collaboration, we are eager to harness the power of Generative AI and Large Language Models to set new standards for the co-development of the proposed Future Energy Platform.”
Under this collaboration, both parties will work together to innovate on the Future Energy Platform. This will involve integrating cutting-edge technological advancements and ensuring that Amplus's Renewable Energy Remote Monitoring Solution is prepared for a wider range of applications.
