Mumbai-based Jeena & Company on Friday said it has introduced artificial intelligence (AI) to further improve productivity and said the lead time that once spanned 30 minutes have been drastically reduced to three minutes.

The company said has integrated its Customs House Agent (CHA) software with an AI solution that has already produced outstanding results. “Among the achievements of this integration is the introduction of "Single Click Automation." By infusing AI into various external interface processes, the Company has achieved remarkable efficiency gains,” the company said in a regulatory filing.

This includes the effortless digitisation, signing, and uploading of PDF documents to external portals, accompanied by real-time tracking of all PDF documents within their ERP system. Additionally, the company now generates, digitally signs, and uploads flat files to the portal, automatically capturing bill numbers, as a result, cutting down drastically on the lead time from 30 to three minutes.

The logistic firm has also embraced application programming interface (API) integration, elevating the client experience to unparalleled heights. With live portal data directly accessible on the application system, customers can retrieve vital information without the hassle of external portal logins. Moreover, the option to seamlessly download live Excel data from the external portal through its system simplifies data retrieval and analysis, ensuring clients have all the necessary tools at their disposal, the company said.

The logistics industry has seen a tremendous shift over the years due to technological advancements and in recent times, AI is leading the league. In a report published in July, global research and consultancy firm McKinsey, said, AI could possibly generate $1.3 trillion to $2 trillion of value in the global logistics industry by 2025. According to a recent Gartner survey, AI will have the greatest impact on the supply chain industry through 2025, with presently only 16% companies using automation for better decision making and 21% improving transportation through AI tools.
