HCLTech, the third largest IT services firm in the country, on Monday, announced an exclusive agreement with Cloud Software Group, to help implement, upgrade, modernize and provide services for its TIBCO products for enterprise customers across the globe.   

Cloud Software Group is the company formed upon completion of the Citrix take-private transaction and related combination with TIBCO. It provides enterprises with mission-critical software through its key brands, including TIBCO, Citrix, NetScaler, Spotfire, XenServer, ShareFile, and Jaspersoft. A business unit of Cloud Software Group, TIBCO Software provides real-time data for making faster, smarter decisions.  

As part of the deal, around 400 professional services employees from Cloud Software Group with expertise in TIBCO products will transition to HCLTech, bringing their domain knowledge to serve ongoing customer relationships and scale up HCLTech's existing TIBCO Centre of Excellence.

As per the new contract, Cloud Software Group’s TIBCO customers will have access to enhanced digital transformation capabilities through HCLTech's technology offerings and consulting expertise across digital, cloud, automation, engineering and process optimization.  

This partnership will help drive better value for end customers leveraging TIBCO products to further accelerate their data-driven digital transformation, Scott Harris, Senior Vice President, Cloud Software Group.

HCLTech, last week, announced a collaboration with cloud services major Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate the adoption of generative artificial intelligence (AI) at the company and by enterprises globally. As part of the collaboration, HCLTech intends to use Amazon CodeWhisperer with over 50,000 HCLTech engineers, cloud practitioners and developers to build secure applications and leverage AI responsibly, internally and for clients.

In another development earlier this month, the IT firm was reselected by the national governing body Cricket Australia to undertake the next phase of its digital transformation. HCLTech is Cricket Australia’s partner since 2019 and with the new agreement, the technology company will be delivering immersive digital experiences to players, partners, and fans across the world by leveraging analytics, artificial intelligence, and DevOps to Cricket Australia Live and PlayCricket apps.  

HCLTech also launched an AI-based business intelligence (BI) solution by tapping into cloud computing firm Snowflake’s data cloud solution in July. It also partnered with Microsoft and Google Cloud separately to build generative AI CoE, and announced plans to train and certify 10,000 and 18000 engineers respectively in generative AI technologies.  

On 12 July, the IT major announced its June quarter results. In Q1FY24, the company reported a revenue of ₹26,296 crore, up by 12.1% year-on-year (YoY), but declined 1.2% sequentially. In constant currency (CC) terms, the company’s revenue grew 6.3% YoY. The company’s net profit grew 7.6% YoY at ₹3,534 crore.
