o9 Solutions to expand R&D operations in Hyderabad, partners with Telangana govt
US-based Supply chain software provider o9 Solution has collaborated with the Telangana government to set up a supply chain skills academy in Hyderabad aimed at making the city a talent hub. The academy will be housed in the company’s upcoming 09 Hyderabad centre.
The o9 Hyderabad will help make the city a world-class talent hub for meeting the growing demand for skilled supply chain management employees from global companies, it said in a statement.
The centre will be a hub for expanding the company’s R&D, Product Management and Global Delivery operations across the country. Currently, the platform operates 17 offices throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia Pacific and India with a skilled head count of nearly 1,600 employees in India.
o9 is already providing services to hundreds of companies through its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered Digital Brain platform to transform their supply chain, commercial and integrated business planning and decision-making capabilities.
Informing about the development, o9 Solutions’s co-founder and CEO Chakri Gottemukkala said that our fruitful conversations with the Minister for Industries and Commerce, K. Taraka Rama Rao, during his recent visit to Chicago, reinforced our conviction that Hyderabad is the right place for o9 India’s next phase of growth. We are thrilled to be starting it immediately.
“It’s an honor to have a world-class, fast-growing software company like o9 come to Hyderabad and grow this to be its hub for India operations and supporting global growth,” said KTR.
On August 24, o9 Solutions along with PwC launched a strategic alliance to enable clients to accelerate their supply chain transformation agendas and optimise planning and decision-making.
The company was also featured on the 2023 Inc. 5000 Annual List for the sixth consecutive year, released this month.
In July, o9 Solutions expended its partnership with professional services firm Genpact to help companies navigate ongoing supply chain disruptions by leveraging generative artificial intelligence (AI). Under the partnership, the companies will deliver Planning-as-a-Service to clients.
