Kyndryl, a provider of technology infrastructure services, and Microsoft have joined forces to collaborate on advancing enterprise-level generative AI solutions for businesses using The Microsoft Cloud.

By combining the expertise of both companies at their shared Innovation Centres, this initiative will blend Kyndryl's data and AI portfolio with Microsoft's offerings such as 365 Copilot, Azure OpenAI Service, and Fabric.

This partnership will facilitate the creation and implementation of innovative generative AI solutions, aimed at addressing various business needs.

In addition, Kyndryl has committed to using Kyndryl University to educate its employees about new AI technologies from Microsoft.

Furthermore, Kyndryl has introduced an AI-readiness program within Kyndryl Consult, specifically focused on exploring the integration of generative AI solutions.

“Kyndryl is creating a trusted environment for organisations to explore the benefits and value it can bring to organisations as they look to drive efficiencies, grow and deliver greater business outcomes,” said Stephen Leonard, Global Alliances and Partnerships Leader, Kyndryl. “With over three decades of experience in delivering data services, advanced security capabilities, and managing complex IT environments, we are well-positioned to work alongside Microsoft to help organisations confidently apply generative AI at scale and positively impact their businesses while being mindful of known risks.”

The company will further assist customers in exploring the advantages of generative AI. This will be achieved through collaborative innovation, where customers can engage with Kyndryl Vital and Microsoft, and Kyndryl Joint Innovation Centres to co-create customised use cases.

The company's plan encompasses testing new technologies, building industry-specific models, and enhancing its existing capabilities. Additionally, they'll offer comprehensive services, including establishing robust data foundations and architectures.

Notably, in 2021, Kyndryl spun off from IBM, embarked on a significant cloud partnership with Microsoft. This collaboration is aimed at harnessing the potential of Microsoft Cloud to drive innovation and support digital transformation endeavors.
