According to a report by Mobility Outlook, on February 9, Kabra Extrusiontechnik shared that its Board has given the green light to a plan. This plan involves creating a fresh manufacturing plant in North India. The plant will be used to make modern Lithium-ion battery packs and other related items through its fully-owned subsidiary.
This move is aimed at allowing Battrixx, the subsidiary, to gain a bigger part of the e-mobility market in North India. The new plant will offer support to new customers who are in the business of electric 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, and light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
The new facility is set to have an annual production capacity of 0.75 Gwh. This announcement aligns with the company’s strategy focused on specific regions and a strong commitment to being eco-friendly. It's projected to start full operations by the third quarter of the financial year 2023-2024.
