KPMG, Gloplax to offer GCC-as-a-service

KPMG in India and global sourcing firm Gloplax have formed a strategic alliance to offer global capability centre (GCC)-as-a-service model. Under this model, the two companies will offer specialised skills, tool kits, and expertise to set up and implement GCC successfully and accelerate its maturity over time.

“We have worked on simplifying the entire offshore construct leveraging technology and data in line with our objective of making global sourcing simple and accessible,” said Denis McGee, co-founder and head of partnerships, Gloplax.
 
The GCC-as-a-service model will help customers strategies and design business use cases, location strategies, and operation models. The capability will include the necessary facilities and infrastructure for an entity. The joint initiative will set up operations and manage support functions like human resources, finance, risk management, branding, and recruitment, along with technology design and implementation.

The companies said in a joint statement that this model will lower capital outlay, improve speed to market, offer access to high-quality talent, and offer competitive cost as compared to the standalone GCC model.

The combination of our experience and expertise, serving the entire GCC ecosystem, and Gloplax’s deep hands-on experience in the global sourcing (offshoring) space will help clients and organisations, navigate through their GCC journeys with a great experience from strategy through deployment,” said Arun Nair, Partner, KPMG in India.

In June, an EY report stated that Indian GCC market can potentially grow up to $110 billion in value by 2030 from the current $45 billion. It further stated that India will have 2,400 GCCs by 2030, which could further increase to 2,550, positioning the country as the global hub for technology and services.
