ServiceNow promotes Detlef Krause as APAC president
Enterprise software and workplace management firm ServiceNow has promoted Detlef Krause as its new president for Asia Pacific (APAC). Krause stepped up from his role of vice president of general manager of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) central.
In his new role, Krause will be responsible for building ServiceNow’s customer base, product leadership and partner ecosystem in the APAC region to digital transformation across industry.
In his earlier role, ServiceNow said that Krause’s leadership played a “pivotal role in making EMEA central one of our most successful businesses worldwide”.
Krause comes with nearly three decades of experience in the computer and software industry. Prior to joining ServiceNow, where he has worked for more than four years, he has also worked at SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft and Orange Business Services, among other companies, spearheading their technology and digital transformation initiatives.
“This journey has armed me with a deep understanding of many Industries,” Krause mentioned in his LinkedIn post, adding that “as President of Asia Pacific, I'm thrilled to apply my knowledge to drive innovation and growth in this dynamic region”.
Krause also said that he loves to travel in his spare time. "I love getting to know new cultures and people and seeing new countries. The world has so many beautiful places to offer. Otherwise, you can meet me being active, whether on the ski slopes, running or on a bicycle," he mentioned.
Krause’s promotion comes at a time when the company announced an expanded partnership with global professional services firm KPMG to help its client automate their finance and supply chain workflows.
Their partnership, announced this week, dates back more than a decade, and combines KPMG’s business expertise with ServiceNow’s technology, and focuses on intelligent automation, low-code, generative artificial intelligence (AI) and enterprise risk management. ServiceNow chairman and CEO Bill McDermott said that the "co developed AI driven solutions will maximise productivity and profitability across finance, supply chain and procurement operations".
ServiceNow estimated that by 2025, there will be an $11 billion market for sourcing and procurement operations. Additionally, the platform vendor also claimed that there is a “multibillion dollar opportunity” for finance and supply chain solutions.
