Capgemini announces generative AI portfolio of services, plans to double team
Global technology company Capgemini launched a generative artificial intelligence (AI) portfolio of services for strategising, developing and implementing the technology at scale.
In addition to the generative AI services launch, at its recent earning announcement, Aiman Ezzat, chief executive officer of the Capgemini Group also announced an investment of €2 billion in artificial intelligence to ‘build its leadership in this breakthrough technology’, along with plans to double data and AI teams to 60,000 in the next three years.
“We are developing a portfolio of industry-specific offers and signing strategic partnerships, notably with Google Cloud and Microsoft while training most of our workforce through our Data & AI Campus to fully leverage the power of generative AI in our operations,” said Ezzat. Capgemini has established a dedicated generative AI practice as well as a Generative AI Lab
Under the generative AI services portfolio, the France-headquartered company has introduced four generative AI assistants to offer ‘hyper personalised’ customer experience and boost sales team performance by offering knowledge assistance. Capgemini is already working with Heathrow Airport to improve the passenger experience using this service.
The set services also include generative AI offering for software engineering to improve the efficiency of the entire development lifecycle — design, coding, documentation, testing, and deployment. This offering will accelerate time to market for new software, facilitate large scale modernisation of legacy software, and reduce the attack surface, the company said.
Capgemini has designed custom generative AI for enterprise that fine tunes large foundational models with enterprises with proprietary data. The platform can be used in customer experience, research and development, support, and for assisting business functions.
“For clients who have key sensitive data, we are developing custom generative AI solutions, fine-tuned with their proprietary data, to create maximum business value,” said Franck Greverie, chief portfolio officer at Capgemini.
Lastly, Capgemini’s generative AI strategy offering will define and prioritise relevant use cases of the technology for businesses and lay a foundation for scaling investment while mitigating risks.
