SentinelOne opens virtual data centre in Mumbai
SentinelOne, a US cybersecurity firm, has launched a virtual data centre in Mumbai. This data centre aims to assist organisations in the country in meeting data sovereignty requirements and strengthening their cyber defenses.
This data centre is hosted by SentinelOne's partner AWS and offers direct, high-performance access to the Singularity platform. Singularity serves as SentinelOne's XDR (Extended Detection and Response) platform, offering comprehensive protection against various cyberattacks. Moreover, this will enable organisations to store their logs within Indian borders, ensuring compliance with data sovereignty regulations.
“Cyber criminals are moving faster than ever, and companies must move with even greater speed to thwart their actions,” said Diwa Dayal, Managing Director, India and SAARC, SentinelOne. “At SentinelOne, we understand the stringent reporting requirements that Indian organisations must meet. And with the launch of our local data center, we are uniquely positioned to help them do it.”
On June 15, 2022, SentinelOne announced plans to invest $50 million in India as part of its global expansion efforts. The company aims to expand its talent pool by 500 in the coming years.
SentinelOne is already providing services to Indian businesses, including agro chemical firm Dhanuka Agritech and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, to enhance their security posture and ensure the safety of critical infrastructure, which the country and its people rely on.
