Dr Lal PathLabs elevates Munender Soperna as CIDO

Munender Soperna has been elevated to the position of CIDO (Chief Information & Digital Officer) at Dr Lal PathLabs, a provider of diagnostic and related healthcare tests. Before this, he was chief information officer (CIO) at the same company.

Soperna joined Dr. Lal Path Labs as general manager of information technology in 2007 and rose to rank as head – IT, CIO and now as CIDO with experience in business and technology operations across diverse industries including healthcare-pathology, auto ancillary, power and consultancy and more. 

Soperna started his career as a software programmer and analyst at Del Gears Limited and then moved to Infosys as system analyst. He has also worked as assistant IT manager with Indo Canadian Consultancy Services and as IT manager at Malana Power Company Ltd., a unit of LNJ Bhilwara Group.

He has led various IT transformation and business critical projects, dedicated to improving customer satisfaction, decreasing costs and controlling risk. He also specialises in enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation, business process re-engineering and its implementation.

A recipient of multiple awards and accolades from various media, CIO groups and associations, Soperna believes in constant learning and upskilling and encourages his team to do the same.

Soperna completed a bachelor’s degree in computer science and did a post-graduation in computer application from Delhi University. He also completed an executive MBA and a Global CIO certification from Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad.
