Japan's Mitsuboshi Belting taps NEC for IT infra, SAP adoption at Maharashtra plant

Mitsuboshi Belting India has partnered with NEC Corporation for the development of IT infrastructure and integration of SAP systems at their newly established manufacturing facility in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.  

Representing a significant investment of approximately 3.6 billion yen ($32.64 million), this facility is one of the largest within the Mitsuboshi Belting Group. To ensure a successful implementation, NEC Corporation India has been chosen as the implementation partner to set up their IT infrastructure and SAP ERP systems for this new facility.  

NEC Corporation India, a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC Corporation, will bring a range of smart manufacturing solutions to the table, for the Mitsuboshi Belting India facility. These solutions are expected to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the workforce, contributing to a more streamlined and effective manufacturing process.

The entire data centre has been installed by NEC, including all routers, switches, servers, storage, surveillance, facial recognition access control, RFID-tagged parking, attendance tracking, and a visitor management system.

NEC also introduced the SAP Business One enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, which would help Mitsuboshi Belting India improve the precision and efficiency of its financial processes.

Users of the ERP system will be able to keep track of both incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as item master data and pricing lists. The SAP Business One ERP system's real-time decision-making capabilities will be a major factor in the company's success.
