Infosys, Skillsoft to enhance digital learning
Infosys and edtech company Skillsoft have collaborated to transform education and learning for students ranging from class 6 to lifelong learners in India.
Through its initiative called Infosys Springboard, Infosys will grant learners free access to a diverse collection of Skillsoft learning content. This content is specifically curated to develop essential technology, leadership, business, and behavioural skills.
The partnership is aimed at providing ample learning and employment opportunities for school students, graduates, and lifelong learners, and to democratise learning, ensuring that eager minds are equipped to thrive in the future. The company said.
The courses on offer will cover a wide range of subjects, including digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and effective communication and presentation skills. By covering such diverse topics, the collaboration seeks to address the ever-evolving demands of the modern world and cater to the varied needs of learners across different stages of their educational and professional journeys.
To make this initiative accessible to individuals residing in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where educational resources may be limited, the company has translated the entire course content into multiple Indian regional languages, such as Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, and even some international languages.
“Infosys’ collaboration with Skillsoft strongly aligns with the company’s vision to democratise quality learning for lifelong learners. This collaboration, aided by commentaries in Indian regional language and international language subtitles, will transcend geographical boundaries and offer solid learning opportunities to learners across the world,” said, Thirumala Arohi, Senior Vice President and Head – Education, Training, and Assessment – Infosys.
