Pure Storage announces new all-flash storage solutions
US-based Pure Storage has announced a range of storage products at its annual Pure/Accelerate 2023, catering specifically to artificial intelligence projects.
One of the most prominent announcements was the expansion of its all-flash storage system called Pure//E with the introduction of FlashArray//E. The new product will relieve customers from the constraints of using disk storage at lower power and operational cost, the company said.
The company has introduced the next-generation FlashArray//X and FlashArray//C systems to deliver better performance, efficiency, and security. As per Pure Storage, the new models deliver up to 40% higher performance, and 30% more inline compression to stretch storage capacity, along with ransomware protection capabilities.
Pure Storage has also introduced a ransom recovery service level agreement (SLA) to guarantee a clean storage environment following a cyber attack. After a cyber attack incident, storage arrays are often locked for forensic investigation by insurance or law enforcement. In such cases, organisations are unable to recover data. The SLA by Pure Storage will allow customers to recover faster.
Further, with new self-service upgrades, Pure customers will be able to tap AIOps for anomaly detection, data protection assessments, and SafeMode configuration and administration.
“We are now delivering the industry’s most consistent, modern, and reliable portfolio that can address all enterprises’ storage needs. As we enter a new age of AI, the superior economics, and operational and environmental efficiencies of Pure’s product portfolio over both hard disk and SSD-based, all-flash competitive offerings will be more critical to our customers than ever,” said Charles Giancarlo, chairman and chief executive officer, Pure Storage.
