HCLTech is expanding its partnership with Google Cloud to develop joint solutions on the latter’s generative artificial intelligence solutions. As part of the extended partnership, HCLTech will establish a Google Cloud Generative AI center of excellence (GenAI CoE) for clients to tap into the technology. The GenAI CoE will utilise AI expertise from its HCLTech Cloud Native Labs in London, Dallas, and Noida.

HCLTech also plans to train more than 18,000 people on Google Cloud generative AI technologies and build new solutions to help businesses improve efficiency, enhance employee experiences, and maximise the value derived from their business data.

“These new investments and resources from HCLTech will help enterprises more quickly implement, scale and capture value from generative AI and help them transform their businesses in bold and responsible ways,” said  Kevin Ichhpurani, corporate vice president, Global Partner Ecosystem and Channels, Google Cloud.

HCLTech is already using Google Cloud’s large language models (LLMs) to develop generative AI-based solutions in domains like industries, enterprise functions, innovation, and technology modernisation. HCLTech will also leverage Google Cloud’s full suite of enterprise generative AI products and services, including Vertex AI, Generative AI Studio, Model Garden, and Generative AI App Builder, among others.

Additionally, HCLTech’s HCLSoftware division will adopt Google Workspace, Duet AI for Google Workspace and Developers. It is also deploying for improved customer support for its clients.

Last week, Capgemini announced a similar partnership expansion with Google Cloud to establish a center of excellence (CoE) for generative AI. Called the Generative AI Google Cloud CoE, it will help customers with value creation from their AI investment. Apart from these companies, IBM announced in May this year that it has established a CoE for generative AI.
