HFCL to install Fibre Optics Transmission System for DMRC
Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd (HFCL), a technology company, will install a Fibre Optics Transmission System (FOTS) for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Limited, as part of a ₹80.92 crore deal with the company.
Under this order, HFCL has a timeline of 156 weeks from the notice to proceed (NTP) for the execution of the project. Following that, the company will be responsible for providing warranty support for a period of 104 weeks. The scope of HFCL's involvement includes the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the FOTS for three priority corridors in Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro Rail Project.
Moreover, in late March, HFCL secured another significant deal worth ₹282.61 crore from the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRCL). As per the contract, HFCL will set up the telecommunication systems for the Surat Metro Rail Project Phase-I. The company is expected to complete this task within a timeline of 90 weeks from the date of the contract.
