Capgemini, Google Cloud partner to establish CoE for generative AI
Capgemini and Google Cloud have expanded their existing strategic partnership in data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) to establish a centre of excellence (CoE) for generative AI. Called the Generative AI Google Cloud CoE, it will help customers with value creation from their AI investment.
Further, the CoE will help Capgemini build enterprise-ready use cases to solve industry-specific challenges and improve business processes. The first 100 use cases will be focused on the financial services, insurance, retail, and automotive sectors. In the next 24 hours, the use cases will be expanded to a total of 500. It is expected to generate new revenue streams, and improve overall business efficiency.
“With this new Generative AI Google Cloud Centre of Excellence, we will leverage our leading capabilities in business transformation, infrastructure, applications, data, AI and engineering, in an array of industry-specific use cases and accelerators, to assist clients in their digital and sustainable transformation journeys,” said Aiman Ezzat, chief executive officer of Capgemini.
Further, the expanded partnership will combine Google Cloud’s generative AI technologies and Capgemini’s capabilities in deep product and software engineering, and data science. Tapping on Google Cloud’s generative AI specialists, Capgemini will augment its existing solutions based on Google Cloud’s data, analytics, and AI technologies.
Like Capgemini-Google Cloud, IBM announced in May this year that it has established a CoE for generative AI. As per the company’s statement, the CoE already has over 1,000 consultants with expertise in the technology. “Our CoE is ready to help accelerate our clients’ business transformations with enterprise-grade AI, including the newly announced IBM watsonx, as well as technology from our ecosystem of business partners,” the company said in its blog.
