Badar Afaq promoted to VP & group IT head at Max Group’s Antara Senior Living
Antara Senior Living Ltd, an Indian enterprise owned by Max India that runs independent senior living and retirement communities across the country has promoted its long-time executive Badar Afaq to vice president and group Information Technology (IT) head at the organisation. Afaq, who joined Antara Senior Care in 2015 was head of IT at the same company.
"I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President & Head Information Technology at Antara Senior Care (Max India Group),” Afaq wrote on LinkedIn.
Badar, who has over 20 years of experience in information technology, communications and computer applications, has led the technology operations within the organisation and helped in devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies. In his new role, he will continue to spearhead the IT function with a focus on managing entire IT operations and IT setup for new projects, paving way for greater growth and innovation.
Badar has done his MBA in information technology and post-graduation and graduation in computer applications, from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. He has also completed Global chief information officer (CIO) programme from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and Indian School of business (ISB) Hyderabad.
In his last assignment he was associated with Lemon Tree Hotels as DGM – Information Technology. Prior to this assignment, he has worked with organizations like ITC Fortune Hotels, DLF Group and Radisson Hotels. Badar is an ardent technology enthusiast, always ready to reinvent.
Badar has worked across domains such as hospitality, real estate, business process outsourcing (BPO), retail, wellness, and part of healthcare. He has deep expertise and experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, infrastructure, it governance and security, as per his LinkedIn profile.
Last year, Antara Senior Care announced an investment of ₹300 crore, aiming to ramp up senior care facilities in the country. It currently has two residential projects-established in Dehradun and Noida that it said have witnessed huge interest among buyers., the company said.
