Salesforce launches new generative AI-driven tools
Salesforce has announced two new tools that employ artificial intelligence to enhance data analytics. Tableau GPT and Tableau Pulse, utilize generative AI to enhance the data analysis process, providing users with a more efficient and effective experience.
The new tools will enable analysts and business users to automate data analysis, anticipate user needs, and generate actionable insights automatically. Salesforce has announced the launch of its latest offering, the Salesforce Data Cloud for Tableau capabilities. This new feature will enable customers to access their data directly within Tableau, providing a consolidated view for quick and efficient insights.
The new versions of Tableau will incorporate generative artificial intelligence (AI) to enable individuals who are not typically involved in data analysis to utilize natural language to inquire and obtain insights. Tableau GPT, a newly developed software, can generate visual representations and recommend suitable research and queries. Tableau Pulse will provide real-time data insights in the form of charts and graphs to individuals who may not be familiar with the software.
Ryan Aytay, President and CEO, of Tableau said, “Generative AI is one of the most transformative technologies of our lifetime, it’s supercharging productivity for people and businesses everywhere. Tableau GPT and Tableau Pulse, together with Data Cloud, give customers a next-generation analytics experience that empowers every user to make better decisions faster with relevant data, bringing the power of data and analytics to everyone.
In addition to these updates, the company also unveiled the VizQL Data Service, which provides a mechanism for incorporating Tableau into automated business processes.
This news comes a week after Salesforce introduced Slack GPT, which adds conversational AI to the widely used platform for team communication and collaboration. In March of this year, rivals like Microsoft announced support for ChatGPT within its customer relationship management features within Microsoft Dynamics 365. The Zoho CRM platform also features an AI assistant for data analysis, chart creation, and anomaly detection.
