ManageEngine launches new cloud-based security solution for a better data segregation, security
Enterprise IT management firm ManageEngine has announced the launch of its managed security service provider (MSSP) edition of its Log360 Cloud. Log360 is ManageEngine’s security information and event management (SIEM) solution.
Log360’s MSSP edition will offer features like data segregation with multi-tenancy so that multiple customer profiles could be managed from a single console; data security; round-the-clock availability, resilience, and business continuity; stricter restrictions through role-based access control; optimising resource allocation.
The cost of deploying and managing security solutions like SIEM is high. Adding to it, organisations are also currently facing cybersecurity staff shortages and budgeting constraints. Amid these challenges, companies are increasingly looking at MSSPs for their security needs. MSSPs, however, are not completely immune to specific business challenges like data segregation, optimised resource utilisation, and maintenance cost. ManageEngine’s new offering claims to overcome all these problems.
"The MSSP market is set for expansion, but MSSPs have to assure their clients that data segregation and security are ensured continually. This requires additional investments in the appropriate technology, hardware, and personnel, reducing the profit margins of MSSPs," said Manikandan Thangaraj, Vice President of ManageEngine. ManageEngine comes under cloud software provider Zoho corporation.
"Leveraging the advantages of cloud deployment, MSSPs can ensure data segregation and security with no additional effort. Log360 Cloud also offers multi-tenancy; RBACs in addition to security analytics; and incident management and threat detection, investigation, and response (TDIR) features, making it the perfect fit to address the requirements of MSSPs,” he added.
This new edition of Log360 is set to be made at RSA Conference, a global information security conference happening at Las Vegas. Apart from ManageEngine, several other companies have announced new security offerings. For instance, Google Cloud announced generative AI-based Security AI Workbench.
