Google Cloud to help JM Financial improve customer experience
Mumbai-based financial services firm JM Financial announced on Thursday that it has partnered with Google Cloud to build its retail digital customer base and improve its customer experience strategy.
The financial company whose primary business includes investment banking, mortgage lending and more is building a new technology platform, blinkx that works on Google Cloud as the primary backbone of its infrastructure and analytics capabilities, the company said, adding that this new platform, blinkx, will help JM Financial offer a wide range of products and services to digital retail consumers.
This trading platform blinkx will leverage Google Cloud’s data and analytics capabilities, which will help them to better understand its customers and deliver personalised experiences and help reduce customer churn and increase customer engagement, the company said in a statement.
Bikram Singh Bedi, managing director at Google cloud India said, “Our unique capabilities in data and AI will enable JM Financial to acquire new customers and target the right products for them. This will increase their efficiency while reducing the cost per acquisition and ensure customer stickiness.”
He also said that the collaboration is a significant step forward for JM Financial. It will help financial become a more competitive player in the market. Google Cloud partners, Niveus, Thoughtworks, and Lumiq would be the key enablers in bringing these services live on the blinkx platform.
The demand for Google Cloud in India continues to grow across verticals and segments as organisations look for business transformation through cloud adoption. The company’s CEO Sundar Pichai said a statement in December 2022, "India is a key market for Google and we are committed to investing in the country to help drive digital transformation and support the growth of local businesses”.
Google’s parent company, Alphabet reported overall gross revenue of $76.05 billion for the fourth quarter of 2022, with a slight 1% increase from last year’s figures. The Google Cloud business segment this quarter, earning 32% more revenue than it did last year. This quarter, Google Cloud brought in $7.32 billion, the company said.
